Tulsa Atheist Rendezvous

Tulsa Atheist Rendezvous grew out of the Atheists Meetup group in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We seek to provide an opportunity for those who self-identify as atheists to meet with one another for fellowship and to discuss matters of mutual interest. --Dan Nerren, moderator

"The God Who Wasn't There" in Newsweek

The June 27, 2005 issue of Newsweek (dinosaur on cover) has a short piece on "The God Who Wasn't There" on page 12. The title of the piece is "Imaginary Friend?"

We will not watch the entire DVD at the July meeting. To watch the entire DVD would take 5 hours and 35 minutes. In addition to a 62-minute movie, there are two full-length commentary tracks, interviews with Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and others, slide shows, and music. I will preview the DVD and select portions of it to show at the meeting.

The poor attendance at the last meeting (four at the beginning; three by the end) might be due to people not wanting to sit through a movie of an hour and three-quarter length. If you have any thoughts about meeting length or meeting activities, please post them in the comment section.
