Working toward "In Reason We Trust" plates

Following the discussion we had at yesterday's Tulsa Atheists Meetup, I am setting up this page to monitor our progress toward achieving the goal of making it possible for those who wish to obtain state automobile license plates with the words "In Reason We Trust" printed on them, can do so.

Bill D. has communicated with his state senator, Mike Mazzei, and learned that we would need 500 people who are interested in obtaining such a plate in order for the plates to be printed. (Why 500 instead of the normal 200 is a matter that will need looking into later.) Such plates would carry an additional yearly charge of $15 to what you normally pay for the plates.

Our next step in this process is to show that there is interest in obtaining "In Reason We Trust" plates. All who would like to see such plates are encouraged to write to your state representative and/or senator to let him or her know of your interest. Once you have mailed your letter, please e-mail me with that information. I will post that information in the record below.
